ACQF Webinar on Recognition and Exchange of Microcredentials

The proposed theme for the session is “How NQFs and Regional QFs can support the recognition and exchange of Microcredentials.” In line with this, the content will explore the following areas:

  • Distinguishing between digital credentials and microcredentials;
  • The benefits and challenges of using National and Regional Qualifications Frameworks to recognise microcredentials, including considerations of quality assurance;
  • The potential of microcredentials to enable meaningful, stackable re-skilling and upskilling for graduates and employed individuals, as well as opportunities for providing foundational skills for undereducated or unemployed groups;
  • Recognition and exchange of microcredentials across institutions or borders
  • Case studies or research findings on the impact of microcredentials in the workplace, with due consideration to the differing contexts between Africa and the Global North;
