Order No. 035/GM/2024, of May 13, 2024, from the Minister of National Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research, established and put into effect the QNQ Working Group, which aims to ensure the partnership between Government Institutions, the Private Sector and Civil Society and thus guarantee the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire process of creating and implementing the QNQ of Guinea-Bissau. By Order 066/GM/2024, of October 22, 2024, the Government of Guinea-Bissau authorized the creation of a Working Group Office for the implementation of the National Qualifications Framework of Guinea-Bissau.
It is important to highlight that Guinea-Bissau, in partnership with the project “Supporting implementation of the African Continental Qualifications Framework (ACQF-II)”, developed its National Qualifications Framework (NQF) with a comprehensive scope, inclusive of qualifications at all levels of the education and training system, and oriented towards lifelong learning. The “Conceptual and Technical Document of the Guinea-Bissau NQF” was thoroughly discussed with the members of the Working Group and validated in August 2023. In August 2024, the “Political Document of the NQF” was finalized, which summarizes the content of the Conceptual Document of the NQF.
